    Invasion Of The Charter Schools

CitizensArrest Wow, all good articles to read.  But just to reiterate the last one, since charter schools have no oversight and they are autonomous, so are their student disciplinary practices.  If a parent has a complaint that their child is being cruelly and unusually punished in some wa...

sachparent then you certainly couldn't take charters at face-value as being excellent either.  And are you insinuating that charters don't have students that need to be tutored?  What makes a school "excellent" is that they provide tutoring for the kids that need it (instead of counseling t...

toki Non-profit on paper, yes.  But 11 of the 13 board members of the Success Network are investment bankers, the other two are a lawyer and a PR person.  Not one is an educator.  Now where do you think their priorities are?

localparent The "bully" cry is as stale as your "choice" argument.  It always comes #2 in your playbook after your "choice" argument is discredited and it's your standard explanation for why NO ONE shows up in support of charters.  Nice try, but go back to school.  The definition of bully...

CHOICE!?!?  Let's talk about choice.  A choice is when someone gives you several options and you select the one you want.  At Success Academy's co-location hearing in Williamsburg 400 people came out and said WE DON'T WANT THAT!  2 (rich, white, connected people) said WE DO (but not for...
