  Queen Vic Pub & Kitchen

  Probably the best pub food in Houston. Great Indian dishes and Curries. Lamb Vindaloo is fantastic, not as spice as I like, but excellent. Good crowd, and the tables don't turn quickly. Worth a try, and definitely better that it's neighbor (Red Lion) just a few blocks away.

  Red Lion Pub

  It may look like a British Pub and the beers and ales are of healthy selection. HOWEVER, they have the absolute WORST Fish and Chips on the planet. The rest of the menu is "OK" relative to the other Houston pubs, but no where close to those in the old country. I suggest going with one of the curries or Indian dishes, they are much better than the British Fare.

  HORRIBLE!!! This place is filthy (as proven by the Health Department). The food is below average: 1) the chicken is greasy, 2) the waffles are soft, 3) all the grease dripping of the chicken ruined the waffles, 4) the bacon and eggs were the best thing on the menu (but anyone can scramble eggs and fry bacon). The self service coffee bar and condiments area is always filthy and nasty. Hygiene isn't a priority. Stay away and go to breakfast somewhere that values cleanliness and good food...like Buffalo Grill, Avalon Grill, Barnaby's, etc., etc.
