How did my business or event end up on Voice Places?

How do I get information edited on my listing? / How do I manage my listing?

• Currently, the best way to get information edited on your place or event listing is to submit your corrections to our Feedback form (located on the far right of every Voice Places page). Look for the ability to claim and manage your listing in the near future!

What can I review on Voice Places?

• On Voice Places, you can review two things: places, and events. To review a place, simply select your city from the drop down menu and search for the place by name. Then, find the right location from your search results, and click "Write a Review" Your review will then be linked to that place's page.
• Event reviews are different in that once an event has passed, that page is automatically archived. However, your review does not disappear - rather, it is linked to the event's corresponding place page, with a byline stating which event the review is referring to. You get to an event's page by following the same search process, or by clicking the event link from it's location's place page.

How do I leave a review?

• Sign in with your My Voice Nation account details
• Find the place or event that you'd like to review and click "Write a Review"
• First, give a star rating by clicking on the amount of starts you'd like to give, 1-5.
• Then, write your opinion, tip, review, complaint, praise, etc in the field below.
• Check the box to share your review with any social media accounts you've connected to your MVN profile automatically
• Click "Post" and you're done!

How are Voice Places reviews connected to Village Voice Media content?

• Every article written for a Village Voice Media that mentions a place or event, links that article to its voice place's page. You can review places along with your favorite alt-weekly's food blog, or just share your opinions on the best places to go and things to do in your city with fellow Village Voice Media readers.

How do I share my reviews with my friends? (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc)

• When writing your review, be sure to check the social sharing boxes before you click "Post" to automatically share your new review with your friends on social media. Also, you can follow your friends' reviews by visiting their My Voice Nation profile pages and clicking "Follow." The places they review and like will show up as a feed when you visit your own MVN profile.
