I am very glad Artist Montrose, is able to be around to see her work in a museum setting. Too often artists are honored after they are in the big studio. Yay! BRAVO! Kirkland Museum.
One way the arts can be funded in the schools. The sports organizations always have money, I think they would be a good funding partner for the visual arts.
The new guy at DAM is OK. But Colorado artists will have to row their own boats. The DAM ain't gonna make a difference in a lot of Colorado artists heating and eating. I am a museum member, so I will have a good art life without being shown at DAM. That's the way I roll.
There are a number of visual artists in the city and state, who are making a working class living in the visual arts. More profile on these NON starving artists would be appreciated.
