  Kluckin' Chicken & Fish

  Tried kluckin chicken in Maryland Heights today, YUK Ordered a pound of cod got home and had 5 pieces, so I weighed it, 10oz. Called to ask why, they interrupted me before I could finish with a practiced answer then put the owner on the phone who continue with the same, "you can't weight it that way, we have to weigh it as the manufacturer does before it's thawed and so it weights different." I said the pieces only weigh 2oz he said they weigh 4 oz really, I said you mean to tell me that it shrunk 2 oz from frozen to thaw to fry! He is either really dumb or really smart. They charge $12 a pound but you only get 10oz, he is raking in the dough. The coleslaw and potato salad are pre-purchased restaurant buckets! I am so disappointed, it's not that hard to serve real food made on the premises at a hole-in-the-wall that could be a nice place. Hush puppies yuk. The cod was terrible, the shrimp uhh. When you get a shrimp that is butterfly cut and double battered it is TINY made to LOOK big. What a waste of money! DON'T go there. Somebody call Chef Gordon Ramsey to shut this place down. I guess he makes most of his money in the evening and weekends as I noticed when we were leaving that at night it's a BAR! What a dump. Connie St. Louis
