Another amazing go-to spot. Oodles of noodles, all good in the noodle hood. Great prices for good meals. Jenni's also has a great selection of vegetarian choices (respect!) along with well known favourites. If you crave pho or would like a nice bowl of noodle soup on a cold winter day, this is a solid choice.

Haven does seasonal food in a fun interesting way. A skilled approach to gulf coast ingredients also makes this a great 'seafood' restaurant. Many good options on the simple well thought out menu. The wine list is excellent and changes on a regular basis, as does the selection of food. One small warning: Beautiful restaurant but the patio chairs are the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced.

I'm almost afraid to talk this one up as its my low key go-to spot. Fajitas are amazing, and the skinny margaritas are a nice way to enjoy this signature Mexican beverage on a fall/winter day. Inside is cramped, but you should be dropping by to enjoy the patio.
The staff was nice but the faux post punk hipster atmosphere didn't last long when the place started getting busy; that's when the Vegas style bottle service seating type rules were enforced. I feel for the employees, but I'm not sorry to see this place go; I'm sure the suits that run the place are working on a new scheme in some other location.

I people picked a place to live based on the neighbourhood pub, the population around Queen Vic would be in the tens of thousands (all trying to find a spot within a one block radius). A true British pub, making the most of local ingredients and regional beer Queen Vic should not be missed. It's a very popular spot, so be flexible about time of visit and seating. Also an amazing patio. Sit outside if you can.
