I didn't go to this, but my girlfriend Sheryl did. She said it was pretty much amazing. I mean, it IS Jimmy Eat World, after all. I got to meet Jimmy a few months ago; would love to see them live again. Especially at a club this small. What a rush.
When people come to visit, they always ask me, "Where can I get a good steak?" Well, if you want the best, then look no further than Mastro's Steakhouse. I was telling my mom about this place last night. Yes, it's expensive. VERY expensive. But that's OK, it's worth it. From the drinks in the bar to the sides at the table, this is the best steakhouse I have ever eaten at. Just touch your steak with a fork and it falls apart for you to enjoy. This place gets better every time I visit, too. If you like steak, you MUST try Mastro's.
There are so many pools in the Valley... I am not sure which one to see first! We live close to El Santo, and they get some pretty massive names thanks to Relentless Beats. Maybe I will just hang out there this summer!
@Alex Beeton What is gross about this article? This is a case that is making a lot of headlines both here in the Valley and around the world. I heard a woman from Australia came for a week just to see the trial up close and personal.
I am ready for this trial to be over. I am so sick and tired of hearing about it on the radio. It seems like KTAR has nothing better to talk about. Just based on what I hear on the radio, this woman needs to be in prison. Regardless, she deserves a fair trial, and I am sure she will suffer the...
We headed out to the Apache Trail yesterday, and took the long way. Before we left, we needed some breakfast, and this place came highly recommended. We stopped in, grabbed a table, and were very impressed with the menu. They also had a nice list of champagne drinks that were perfect for a special Sunday. My mom is here to visit, and I am trying to impress her all I can. The menu was loaded with goodies including muffins, waffles, French toast (of course, this is a French themes restaurant), and more. What impressed me the most was the menu. They listed the calories ON the menu. So few places do that, and it went a long way for my decision making process. I wish EVERY restaurant did that. Mimi's was great, and I can't wait to go back. Next time I might just order a muffin!
I LOVE sushi, and this place came highly recommended when we first moved to the Valley. We went... and it was good. But it was nothing to write home about. I can only afford their cocktails during happy hour, and their sushi was small for the price. There are much better sushi places nearby that offer better rolls and lower prices. Cool place, but I feel that there is too my hype around this location. If you want a good happy hour, then this is a great place to grab a late lunch/early dinner. Just don't expect to be blown away.
This place came highly recommended, as we have been looking for a good locally owned Mexican place for quite a while. Someone said their shrimp cocktail was legendary. I didn't see it on the menu, but asked our server about the ceviche. She said that is what used to be called the shrimp cocktail, so we ordered that. Holy cow was this thing good. Go here for that and that alone if you don't believe me! We also ordered a sampler platter to try several of their menu items, a few Mexican beers, and some chips and salsa. It was basically everything we wanted it to be. We felt like we were on vacation. Oh, and sit on the patio. MUCH better atmosphere on the patio. This place is great, and I can't wait to go back!
